Handicare’s curved stairlifts are custom-designed to navigate the twists, turns, and landings of complex staircases, offering safe, space-efficient mobility without compromising on style or functionality.
Two Available Systems
- Twin-Rail (4000 System): Designed for very tight bends, spiral stairs, or narrow hallways — boasts some of the tightest rail bends in the market.
- Single-Rail (Freecurve): Slim, sleek design; rail diameter is small, making it less visually intrusive and ideal for curved staircases.
Custom Fit:
All curved stairlift tracks are made to measure — Handicare digitally surveys and builds the rail to match your staircase’s exact shape.
Powered Hinged Rail Option:

Powered Hinged Rail Option:
- The rail can fold via a powered hinge to avoid blocking doorways or hallways when not in use.
- Particularly useful in tight spaces or where the track could obstruct foot traffic.
Safety Features:
- Built-in sensors stop the lift if it detects obstructions.
- Two-way powered swivel helps with very narrow curved staircases.
- Retractable seatbelts are standard for security.
- Battery-powered: continues working during power cuts.
- Multiple charging points can often be configured around the staircase.
